The Bylaws of JAPhMed(Excerpts)
General Rules
・Article 1
This Association is called the Japanese Association of Pharmaceutical Medicine (JAPhMed), and, along with associations of pharmaceutical physicians from other countries, is a member of the International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians (IFAPP for short). President of JAPhMed shall designate the Secretariat of JAPhMed.
・Article 2
JAPhMed aims to promote the exchange of medical information in relation to the following matters and contribute to the progress and development of the pharmaceutical industry:
(1) Contribution toward the advancement of the pharmaceutical industry.
(2) Evaluation of efficacy and safety of pharmaceuticals.
(3) Enlightenment on the role and importance of medical doctors in pharmaceutical companies.
(4) International exchange for the above-mentioned purposes.
(5) Other matters necessary to accomplish the purposes of JAPhMed.
・Article 3
In order to accomplish the purposes defined in the preceding Article, JAPhMed is to carry on the following activities:
(1) Sponsorship of regular lectures, seminars, etc.
(2) JAPhMed member communication and social gatherings
(3) Proposals concerning development of drugs and evaluation of efficacy and safety of drugs
(4) Interchange with the IFAPP and pharmaceutical physician associations in other countries
(5) Exchange of information
(6) Publication of the JAPhMed membership list and other information
(7) Other activities necessary to accomplish the purposes of JAPhMed
Membership
・Article 4
Licensed medical doctors who are currently affiliated with pharmaceutical or related companies in Japan are eligible for membership in JAPhMed. However, any person recommended for membership by two or more members of JAPhMed and who is judged eligible by the President of JAPhMed may join JAPhMed.
